An update on my life's journey
I'm 62 and have not had my daughter living with me since she was 15. She was accepted into the Alabama Math and Science School down in Mobile, which was a residential school. I lived about 2 hours away from her. We talked every night via chat. After high school, she went to South, so again, I was only 2 hours away from her. Her dad and I split up in 2003. I moved to Mobile and built my own house in 2004. Teddee still lived on her own in an apartment. We talked on the phone just about daily. She married in 2006, so, the contact with her slowed down, but we were able to see each other once a week. She is looking for a better paying job in Atlanta. That is quite a drive from here. I hope we'll chat on Facebook. I hope she'll call me once a week. Seeing her is going to be limited. This is how life should be. It's healthy for both of us. But, I can't lie and say that it won't affect me. I will really miss her, but I understand her reasons for leaving completely.
